In modern organic agriculture, success is measured not only in harvests, but in how we respect the land to build a sustainable future.
This is the philosophy that inspires Agricola Schianchi, a family-run fruit and vegetable farm that cultivates 12 hectares using certified organic methods, dedicating itself to the production of vegetables and cereals while respecting consumers, producers, and the environment.

Can you tell us about your farm and how you got started?
We were 'born' in 2018 on the fields that our grandparents passed down to us, after whom we named the company. My brother Alessandro and I manage it - we have degrees in architecture and engineering respectively. We chose this path out of passion, a sort of calling to the land cultivated by our grandparents and nurtured by our parents, who 'accepted' and supported all of this.
When did you decide to become farmers?
I'd say we already knew our path when we were 10 years old, when my brother and I would fantasize about what we would grow. Then high school and university degrees in construction topics didn't derail our path, but I think they made it more conscientious.
What principles guide your agricultural approach?
For me, planning linked to environmental and economic sustainability is very important. Everything must, let's say, stand on its own. In agriculture, a mistake is most often resolved the following year. Plan, prevent, simplify.

What would you say to yourselves if you could go back to the moment when you started farming?
Don't plant too much thinking you'll make up for losses with quantity. Plant the right amount and take care of it the best you can.
Building a Sustainable Future
Agricola Schianchi's philosophy of "plan, prevent, simplify" finds a valuable ally in precision technology. Using SoilSense for soil monitoring, their planning becomes even more accurate: real-time data on soil parameters allows them to prevent problems before they manifest and make more informed and timely agronomic decisions.
We are proud to support farmers like the Pizzarotti brothers who, by combining agricultural knowledge passed down through time with precision tools like SoilSense, demonstrate how organic agriculture can be a conscious entrepreneurial choice, where smart technology amplifies environmental and economic sustainability.
